Description

These are ACCO's 30-gallon plastic shredder bags, part number 1765015, supplied 25 to a box. They are the liner for GBC's large-office and 30-gallon commercial cabinets, and the point of them is simple: a lined bin is emptied in one movement, while an unlined bin means tipping thirty gallons of paper dust into a sack and living with what escapes.

The bags are tear-resistant, which matters more at this size than at any other. A 30-gallon bag of cross-cut waste is heavy and awkward, and a bag that splits on the way to the collection point creates exactly the mess the liner was meant to prevent.

Compatible Models

ACCO names the following machines on this part's compatibility list:

  • GBC AutoFeed+ / Stack-and-Shred 600X and 600M
  • GBC AutoFeed+ / Stack-and-Shred 750X and 750M
  • GBC CHS10-30 high-security commercial cabinet
  • GBC CM15-30 micro-cut commercial cabinet
  • LS32-30, LX20-30, LM12-30 and LSM09-30 large-office cabinets
  • Other GBC Stack-and-Shred auto-feed and large office shredders with a 30-gallon container

Note that ACCO's older catalogue copy for this part lists the 500X and 500M rather than the 600X and 600M; both generations use the same 30-gallon container, so the bag is correct for either. It is not the right bag for the 32-gallon Momentum cabinets — ACCO does not list those against any published bag part, and we would rather you asked us than assumed.

Reordering

Twenty-five bags is roughly six months of liners on a machine emptied weekly, or about a month on a busy central shredding station. The sensible approach is to work out how often your bin is actually changed — most facilities managers underestimate this — and order on that basis rather than reordering when the last bag is used.

If you run several 30-gallon cabinets, one part number covers all of them, which simplifies the stores line considerably. Shredder oil for the same machines is ACCO part 1760049, and it is worth ordering the two together so that whoever changes the bag also has the oil to hand.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will these fit my AutoFeed+ 750X or 750M?

Yes. ACCO names both models on this part's compatibility list, along with the 600X and 600M. The 750 cabinets have a nominal 37-gallon bin and the bag is rated at 30 gallons, which is normal — a liner is sized to sit inside the container with a cuff over the rim, not to match its rated volume.

Do they fit the Momentum 32-gallon cabinets?

ACCO does not list the Momentum X26-32 or M20-32 against this or any other published bag part number. The 30-gallon bag is the nearest published size and may well work, but we are not going to tell you it fits when the manufacturer has not said so. Ask us and we will check before you commit to a case.

How many bags are in a box?

Twenty-five. On a machine emptied once a week that is around six months of supply; on a central shredding station emptied daily it is closer to a month. Work from your actual bin-change frequency rather than the machine's rated capacity, because the two are rarely the same.

Do I have to use a bag at all?

No, the bins work without one. But shredded paper carries a lot of fine dust, and tipping an unlined 30-gallon container is a job nobody volunteers for twice. A liner turns bin emptying into lifting one object out and dropping another in, which is the difference between a machine that gets emptied on time and one that sits full.

Can I use ordinary refuse sacks instead?

You can, and plenty of offices do. The practical difference is tear resistance: shredded paper is heavier than it looks and has sharp-edged fragments, and a thin domestic sack will split under a full 30-gallon load more often than not. If your waste goes to a confidential destruction contractor, check what they will accept before switching.
