Which shredders do these fit?
ACCO names the Swingline DS22-13, DX18-13, DM12-13, DSM07-13, DS22-19 and DX20-19, and the GBC Stack-and-Shred 300X and 300M auto-feed shredders. More generally, they suit departmental machines with a waste container between 13 and 19 gallons.
Will they fit the AutoFeed+ 230X?
The 230X has the same 16-gallon container as the 300X and 300M, which are both on ACCO's list, so it should. ACCO does not name the 230X explicitly, so we are not going to state it as fact. Send us your model number and we will confirm the fit before you buy a case.
How many bags are in a box?
Twenty-five. On a departmental machine emptied twice a week that is roughly three months of supply. If the shredder is shared by a whole floor and emptied daily, expect a box to last about five weeks.
Is one bag size really right for both 13 and 19 gallon bins?
Yes, within reason. A liner is sized to sit inside the container with a cuff folded over the rim, so a bag rated across a range will fit loosely in the smallest bin and snugly in the largest. The only practical consequence is that in a 13-gallon bin there is a little more slack than you might like.
Do I need to use a liner?
Not strictly, but at this size it is worth it. Sixteen gallons of cross-cut waste is bulky, dusty and awkward to tip, and departmental machines are usually emptied by whoever notices the indicator rather than by a nominated person. Making the job take ten seconds rather than two minutes is how you get it done on time.
